Sofitel So Bangkok
A collection of Design Boutique Hotels and Resorts, Sofitel So was the vibrant new brand to come out of Sofitel, complementing Sofitel Luxury Hotels and the Sofitel Legend Collection (heritage hotels). And when Sofitel So selected Bangkok as the location for its first city hotel globally, QUO was selected as its partner.
Working closely with the Sofitel brand marketing department, QUO was responsible for the creation of all operational collateral, marketing tools and the launch campaign for this unique property. A haven of contemporary sophistication, Sofitel So Bangkok’s design is inspired by The Five Elements of Water, Earth, Wood, Metal and Fire, with signature features by world-renowned French couturierMonsieur Christian Lacroix.
QUO’s approach was to focus exclusively on what makes the hotel different: its diverse, yet striking design concepts, unique restaurant and bar venues, and the incredible views across Lumpini Park and the Bangkok skyline. The resulting designs are led by rich colours, bold textures and contemporary music – all reflecting the different design influences and all feeding into the hotel’s central icon – The Tree of Life. On opening, Sofitel So Bangkok made an immediate impact on the Bangkok hospitality and entertainment scene – a rare feat for a city awash with numerous other hotels and restaurant concepts.
